Changing Table Revamp

I had the most difficult time trying to register for a changing table!  Of all the things there are to pick out for a new little one, this one had me hung up.  For one, changing tables are expensive! It really made my stomach turn to even think of spending over $80 on one. Of course, anything I liked in this price range seemed to have terrible reviews!  Eventually I found one for $95 that I settled for liked and matched our crib.

Little did I know that on a trip to the consignment store to look for a mobile I could re-do....I would find the most perfect changing table!!  It is well made and sturdy and cost $30!  I was pumped, shew, still am!

Lovely table sanitized and ready for some paint!
It took a bit of finagling to squeeze this baby into the back of my little Saturn... but we got it in there!  I bought Kilz spray paint primer (2 cans, $8) and Krylon glossy white top coat (it took four cans for a nice even coat, $12).  And so here we have it folks!  A nice, ready to change baby's diaper, $50 changing table!

As you can see, there is a good bit of over-spray on the ground.  Trying to be a responsible (playing with spray paint) pregnant lady, I covered my nose and mouth with a dishtowel and took FREQUENT breaks for fresh air and worked in a well ventilated area!
